The Old Mill

A local eatery that showcases the diverse, nutritious, home-grown food and drink being produced at The Bowhouse.

On the site of the former mill house, Chris Jacobs is opening a stunning eatery right at the heart of the Bowhouse.

Fully embracing the ethos of the Bowhouse, the menu will reflect the changing seasons, be ethically sourced and support local neighbouring businesses as a priority.

Over two levels and with wonderful views on three sides out to Bass Rock and north towards St. Andrews, the Old Mill House closes the loop on the Bowhouse initiative by taking the produce made, grown or reared on site and serving it in beautiful surroundings to visitors. From the viewing gallery on the upper floor, guests can see first-hand day-to-day production at Bowhouse by looking down on the main production corridor.

At the centre of the Old Mill House kitchen is a Haussler Habo wood fired oven which will allow the café to offer beautiful wood-fired pizzas and bread, alongside a selection of home-made charcuterie, sides and sharing boards.

The flexible space will mean that the Mill House can play host to private events for up to 60 people, as well as offering food and bakery demonstrations based around the Habo oven.

The Mill House will open in the Autumn.
