Make your own collection of handmade Christmas trees
In this relaxed, hands-on workshop, you’ll create a small forest of up to five cone-shaped Christmas trees using traditional hand-building and sculpting techniques with terracotta clay. Working slowly and intuitively, you’ll shape each form by hand before decorating your pieces with coloured slips — a liquid form of clay — to add gentle pattern and surface detail.
After the workshop, Eleanor will take the finished pieces away to be fired and glazed if required. Completed work will be available to collect from the Bowhouse Christmas Market on 11–13 December, with postage available at an additional cost.
