In this 1.5-hour workshop, you will glaze and decorate four pre-fired tiles using traditional Delft techniques.
The session will begin with practising designs on paper, before moving on to glazing and working with the oxides that produce the distinctive blue colour.
Participants will be encouraged to develop their own designs or to work from traditional Delftware patterns. No prior experience is necessary, and the workshop is suitable for beginners.
By the end of the workshop, you will have created four decorated tiles.
These will be taken away to be fired and will be available to collect from the Bowhouse Market on 11–12 April. Postage is available at an additional cost.
