Step away from the Christmas rush and spend an unhurried few hours making something that is entirely yours or share the experience with your partner, daughter or mum.
Silver clay feels like a magical transformation. It’s pure silver in a soft, clay-like form: you roll it, press it and shape it by hand, and when it’s fired it becomes solid fine silver, 99.9% pure.
Guided step by step, you’ll design and make your own pendant, charm or pair of earrings. If you like, bring a shell, flower or anything with texture, and we can imprint it’s surface on the piece.
Your piece is fired and finished during the session, so you’ll leave with your handmade piece/s the same day. Keep it for yourself, or wrap it up for someone special this festive season.

Your tutor Natasha Visser is a goldsmith and jewellery designer with fifteen years’ experience. She trained in Johannesburg and now makes her work in St Monans. She’s known for her moving Abacus jewellery, and she has taught for years, including at Vanilla Ink Jewellery School in Glasgow. Her favourite moment in any class is watching people’s creations come to life.
No experience needed · Ages 15+ Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult

Participants can bring along any dried natural items like flowers, botanicals, shells or small objects that they would like to incorporate into the clay if they wish (Natasha will advise if the objects can be used and how).
We will be working with small items so please bring along your glasses for close up work.
